Wow, talk about your surreal performances.  The date was July 5th 2009, and the place was the Captain Jim III.  The band is grooving on the improv tip, and I'm singing Abbey Road lyrics over it.  It felt like the wild Moonrise period, when the SIE band did that sort of thing rather frequently.  Chicks who I'd never met before were getting hammered and dancing and telling me how great we are.  That's the sort of thing that I rarely experience anymore.  But this time it went on to become even more special.  Those very same two chicks later "joined the band onstage" when Balls Deep and Mike Sin took a break, Monkeypants sat in on drums, and the two chicks began rocking out on Monkeypants's guitar and Mike Sin's bass.  Think about that for a second.  How often does that happen?  Almost never.  Has it ever happened to YOUR band?  Probably never.  Will it ever happen to SIE again?  Probably not.  And yet, there it was.  Proof positive that the adventurous nature of SIE whisks us away to some wild places, even if only for a minute, probably never to be experienced again.  As an entertainer, how can you possibly NOT love that?
